Saying Goodbye to Goodbyes

I'd like to say goodbye to goodbyes. We are so blessed to have so many great friends and family. In the past few days we have had a few goodbye parties and a blessed send-off at our home church. During these events we have realized that we are amazingly loved and supported!

Today we got the official O.K. from our support coach to report to our location! We praise the Lord for bringing us on this journey and for providing all along the way. He indeed is good and faithful. One thing we've been learning recently is the effort it takes to not be anxious and to not worry.. The Bible instructs us to be anxious about nothing and to not worry about anything. This may sound like it's a passive activity to not do something but in fact it requires a lot of conscious effort to really rest in the Lord and meditate on his character and promises. The Lord has led us to really trust his faithfulness as a God that does not abandon his children.

In our last few days we are sorting through more things, packing, writing thank yous, visiting with friends and family, and of course say goodbye. Soon enough we will say goodbye to goodbyes.
